Daily “The News” one of the prominant news paper of Pakistan owned by Jang group of news papers published a news item regarding a poll result on Monday, October 05, 2009

ISLAMABAD: President Zardari has emerged as the most popular personality on the Pakistani political landscape as 51 per cent of the people termed him the most popular personality.

Democracy International and Public Poll International have conducted a survey to gauge public opinion about President Asif Ali Zardari to US and Kerry-Lugar Bill. The first question was about the popularity of President Asif Ali Zardari. The findings revealed that 51 per cent of the respondents favoured President Zardari, 47 opposed it while 3 per cent showed no response.

The second question was about President Zardari’s visit to the US and his meetings with US officials. The results showed that 33 per cent favoured it while 60 per cent went against his visit.

The third question was about President Asif Ali Zardari’s address to the UN. The findings showed that 64 per cent favoured it while 33 per cent went against his address. The fourth question was about the Friends of Democratic Pakistan.

The findings revealed that 58 per cent answered,yes it was fruitful’ while 40 per cent answered negative. Similarly, to the fifth question about the Kerry-Lugar Bill, 67 per cent respondents answered in favour of the bill while 28 per cent answered in negative.

The News mentioned that this poll was conducted by an organization “Democracy International”

PakPoint contacted the above mentioned organization to get some further details about the poll. The reply from the “Democracy International” indicate they are unaware of any such poll.

So what was this poll? Who conducted this poll and when? Is this not a fake poll ?

Thank you for your inquiry into the news piece. The report is incorrect in attributing such a poll to Democracy International. We have not participated in such a poll, and only learned of its existence when we were asked about the piece you point to shortly after it was released. Democracy International does not know how or why this poll was connected to us, and we have not been contacted by The News or any other Pakistani news organization about this matter.

There is no way that this bastard would be accepted as leader of Pakistani nation because him and his cronies are plundering the wealth of our nations. All these bastards (Zardari, Rehman Malik, Haquani, Salam Taseer, etc.) are trying their utmost to sell our county to our enemies, they just do not care about Pakistan. This reading forced to believe in the fact that some factions of media and opposition are running a conceived campaign to dislodge Zardari. What a double standard adopted by media. This poll would have considered quite right if Nawaz Sharif was ahead of Zardari in poll. The trouble with these factions is how Zardari is on helm of affairs despite their lots of toil.

I just learnt by the email sent by Pakpoint network to democracy international that they consider common people just stupid asses who don’t know what is going around them. I can publish hundreds of such emails in favor of government. If they have to launch a campaign against Zardari or Govt they should come up with solid evidences.

One more thing Pak point administration tried to prove is that they are more authentic than The News or Jang group. Plz stop kidding.

I am 67 years old man , but I have not seen so hated person in my life as Zardari, the most hated man in the history of Pakistan.Why people hates him so much because, he is a killer of his own wife, his brother in law, his mother in law(she is alive but she is in comma) and many other people in Pakistan. He is not a business man but he is no.1 rich man in Pakistan, the poor Munsha who was no.1 now has gone down to no ? due to this man.He is ugly by face,ugly by his soul,ugly by his personality,ugly by his character and ugly by his nature.What else we should write about this man, no words.
