WaridTel Launched Friend Finder
Waridtel launched another Location Based Service that is truly first of its kind and will enable you to find the real time location of your friends, family members, children and/or your employees.To locate your friends with SMS
1. Just write “Find <0321XXXXXXX> and sms to 141 e.g if your friend have number 0321-1122222 you will send sms like this “Find 03211122222″ to 141
2. User-B will receive an SMS requesting to permit or deny User-A’s request
3. User-A will receive User-B’s response to request
4. User-A will then get location of User-B through SMS if approved otherwise a denial message will be sent
How do I locate a friend through MMS?
To Locate a Friend via MMS:
1. 1. User-A sends SMS to 141 by writing FINDMMS e.g
“Find032XXXXXXXX>
2. User-B will receive an SMS requesting to permit or deny User-A request
3. User-A will receive User-B’s response to request
4. User-A will get location of User-B through MMS* if approved or a denial message if not
*MMS settings and activations require
Additional features which you can use in the Friend Finder Service?

| HIDE | Hides the user so that none of his/her friends can locate him/her |

| LIST<space>ALLOW | Provides a list of friends who have given the user permission to locate themselves |
| LIST<space>ASK | Provides a list of friends who require asking for permission to be located |
Service Charges for Friend’s Location Finder via SMS
For each request of finding Friend’s Location, Rs.3 + tax will be charged. On successful receiving the requested location of place, Rs.3 + tax will be deducted from your account.
Service Charges for Place Finder via MMS
For each request of finding Friend’s Location, Rs.3 + tax will be charged. On successful receiving of location of place, MMS retrieval charges, i.e. Rs.3 + tax will be deducted from your account.
* Service will not find you friend’s location if his/her mobile phone is switched off
You will need WAP/GPRS activated and settings installed on your handset to access through WAP
*To locate via MMS, you will need to have your MMS activated and settings installed on your handset.
* Maps service is currently available to subscribers in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi & Peshawar only

This is just a money earning tactic by the WaridTel Pakistan. If the permission of the user B is required for user A to get exact location of the user B why he should not make a telephone call to his friend and ask him straight where you are right now? or simply send him a message asking for his location.
The 2nd strange fact is that Service will not find you friend’s location if his/her mobile phone is switched off and even then you will be charged for the service.
