Muje tu start sey he daal ma kuch black lagta tha…Thanks for clearing..
Yah its right some sites make wrong comments and i think its general public that chnages the actual matter and the news trun to be a rumor while the news says the offer for the officals and students also. I am a student of PU and thanks to Warid for this all, I think Telenor will also be announcing a deal with different colleagues and universities as it contains a large amount of focused segment. PU is also one of them. Warid has absolutely done a great job taking the account onboard as their offer is really good, checkout the PU site http://www.pu.edu.pk/press/press_release-19b-nov-09.asp
They are offering relatively low prices for black berry for the officials of PU, I think Telenor will make it an advanced offer by putting extension to the same so that the PU officials\Students may have another option for the same thing at a much lower price. I got many friends at PU and I am sure even if I get Rs 100 less for the same blackberry i will surly il buy it from Telenor because it’s the same branded blackberry and why would I waist my 100 rs even for the same thing.
It will be something interesting to see how competition put a strategy to what Warid has started with. I must comment on Zong also – I wonder where their right focus has gone. They never actually accepted the segmented approach and now what we all understand about Chinese products is that ‘it looks good and so fine at first but its not the case’ Zong is recalling history.
Now competition is focused on educational institutes – a new competition will begin that will give relief to the poor students to carry a low priced handset along – I mean a blackberry as i am about to buy one. Lets wait for the next move of competition but I think it will be Zong and Telenor to be the first to attempt.
