It is now confirmed that Walid Irshaid has finally become the group CEO both for Ufone and PTCL. PakPoint repoted for the same on Nov 10, 2009 . Abdul Aziz, CEO of Ufone now will work under his leadership. At the same time Ali Ahmad Yarouf Al Naqbi, Deputy CEO of PTCL will also be under his command. He will be heading the both companies while retaining his original office at PTCL’s headquarters. In order to facilitate and assist Walid Irshaid for his performance company may empower Ali Ahmad Al Naqbi with some additional management powers. Some mid level management officials in the Ufone does not feel comfortable with this move.
