PTCL employees continue protest

The adhoc workers of Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Limited (PTCL) did symbolic gate lock protest at PTCL headquarters Islamabad, Pakistan here in favor of for the approval of their demands.
The adhoc employees started gathering outside the PTCL headquarters building as the contingents of Rangers and police were deployed inside and outside the premises.
The protesting workers staged sit-in outside the gates and chanted anti management slogans.
Later, police had re-opened the gates and sent the staff inside. The process of negotiations has been also started afterwards.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce has announced the end of strike after a meeting with Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in Governor House Lahore.
The delegation comprised of officials of FCC, President Lahore Chamber Muhammad Ali Mian and Mian Misbahur Rehman.
Sources said that Premier has assured the delegation that their demands would be fulfilled and called a meeting on July 17 in Islamabad for further talks

Ruling coalition to hold important meeting on July 23

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior Affairs, Rehman Malik has left here for Dubai where he will meet Co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party Asif Ali Zardari and apprise him about the country’s political as well as law and order situation.
According to sources, Rehman Malik called on the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Saturday and briefed him about the FATA operation and the objects achieved out of it. The Prime Minister later directed him to meet Asif Ali Zardari and also update him on the latest developments.
Rehman Malik will update PPP Co-chairman about the recent activities of the militants challenging the writ of the government in some parts of NWFP, sources said.
During their meeting Asif Zardari will issue directives in connection with strategy for establishing law and order in FATA, sources added.
They also said that the Asif Ali Zardari will also direct the Advisor to PM to head towards London where Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief is already present.
PM Gilani fears 9/11 like incidents

Today in news papers a strange news has appeared with reference to the PM Gillani that he fears that 9/11 can be repeated. Well 9/11 was really a sad event and in any case such incident should not be repeated in any part of the world. The statement by PM indicate that he may have some reports from his sources about any such possible event well if this is true then they should stop such thing otherwise he should be responsible enough before making any such statements.
