Getting Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar proceed to China on scheduled official vital visit was not an impossible, unyielding and utterly unmanageable situation for Prime Minister Gilani. He could have conveniently prevented Pakistan from the planetary Embarrassment (in his view), by arranging Exemption for the Defence Minister through his telephonic or written instructions to his own government’s incumbents on duty at the Islamabad airport.
He should have appreciated and lauded the conscientious performance of the concerned FIA officials and in return would have earned public laurels and secured credible credit for his government and party as it was a rare demonstration of the implementation and execution of the Rule of Law in the country, in compliance of the worthy verdict of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. By moving an ordinary matter in a manner and to the magnitude – mass suspensions including the Federal Secretary Interior – PM Gilani has not only quashed his own rare merited credit, but has also ruthlessly blackened and bruised his personal priceless hard-earned image. This shocking move also paints his picture resembling with someone up in arms against the esteemed supreme judiciary of the country behind whom the entire 170 million Pakistani nation is standing like a solid rock minus of course the inconsiderable and insignificant and planetarily known and notorious few.
