Pakistan Telecom Subscriber Stats – August, September 2009

Pakistan telecommunication authority, has issued a cellular subscribers stats  for the month of August and September 2009.  The statistics reveal that tele-density in the country is hitting 58.60% and the total subscriber state is reaching 96 million subscribers.  The top rank position is kept by Mobilink  with 30 million subscribers, Telenor  Pakistan is second with 21.60 5 million customers. Ufone a  subsidiary of PTCL  is at number three  with 19.1  million customers. These figures may change due to introduction of 668 SIM verification system  recently launched in October 2009. There are some unofficial statistics that more than 1.5 million SIMs  have been blocked or may get blocked in the coming months.
