4 28 2009 76137 l Nawaz Sharif files petition to quash conviction in plane hijack case PakPoint.comFormer Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-N Quaid on Tuesday
moved a petition requesting the Supreme Court to set aside his
conviction in 2000 in plane hijacking case.

The petition was
submitted by his counsel Khawaja Haris under article 185 (3) of the
Constitution. It seeks leave to appeal against the 2000 judgment of
full bench of the Sindh High Court.

The PML-N leader has
requested that the petition may be converted into appeal and the
conviction and sentences passed against him be set aside.

The
petitioner says the convictions and sentences passed against him were
unjust, unfair and coram non-judice and the same were “represented to
have been washed away pursuant to an order passed by the then President
of Pakistan under article 45 of the constitution.”Nevertheless, the
convictions and sentences were perceived to be clinging as a stigma to
his person.

“It is therefore requested that the court may very
graciously grant leave to appeal against judgment of full bench of the
SHC, Karachi, dated 30-10-2000 and after converting the same into
appeal, the convictions and sentences passed against the petitioner may
kindly be set aside.”

Jawiad Hashmi acquited from 13 cases

This is Judicial NRO – They know they will getaway with everything from courts which thee successfully planted in the name of Justice..

No F**king Poltician is below court, everyone is above it… Police, Courts and civil adminsitration…everything sits in thier pockets…

Nawaz Sharif & Co. Ok keep these petty issues side by side & pls. be focal to public interest matters only e.g. Without wasting any single minute Openly statement issue against the Droned Attacks, Load Shedding, Jobs-Employment, Land Reforming matters among Hariis, Missing People, Be Outspoken the living style of Ministers who are not less than Kings in their respective portfolios. etc. You know better than me.
