Musharraf vows to counter ruling coaltion’s allegations
RAWALPINDI: President Pervez Musharraf said Monday that he would prove the allegations of PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari false before the nation.
He made these remarks in meeting with three-member delegation of PML-Q comprising Marvi Memon, Amir Muqam and Sheikh Waqas Ahmed.
The meeting lasted for an hour in which allegations leveled by Asif Ali Zardari against the president came under discussion, the sources said.
Speaking on the occasion, President Musharraf thanked PML-Q for their support in the hours of need. I will not disappoint you and face all the allegations of ruling coalition, Musharraf said.
About his differences with PPP, he said People Party wanted to bring its own men on some key positions, which I objected. PPP wanted to impose its own policy on Kashmir issue above the parliament, he added.
He further said he had documented evidence in this regard and added the nation would know about the facts in two to three days.
