A lawsuit was filed against M/S Warid Telecom Pakistan in the court of Senior Civil Judge Hina Muzaffar. This was filed by CEO of UN&I Training Development Consultants (UN&ITDC) Muhammad Umair Akhtar. The lawsuit values Rs 10.7 million against Waridtel in violation of a contract between the warid and aforesaid CEO. Now Civil Court Lahore has accepted an application for waridtel to attach property before judgment. Mian Imran Masood, during this latest hearing, maintained that it came
into the knowledge of the plaintiff that Warid may sell its business in Pakistan.
Plaintiff supported its application by referring an example, when Warid
had failed to clear the outstanding dues of many advertising agencies and other organizations, and due to this reason the business
activities of the Warid have been suspended by the Pakistan
Broadcasters Association, Karachi, vide their letter dated 21-10-2008.
