Rt. Hon Gordon Brown
Prime Minister of Great Britain
10 Downing Street
London, England
7th May 2009
Dear Mr. Prime Minister,
I want to urgently bring to your attention the activities of a British citizen, Mr. Altaf Hussain who was granted this status after he fled from Pakistan as a fugitive from justice. At the time of his arrival in London, he was facing 234 registered criminal cases against him, including 44 murder charges and 18 torture charges.
His Party, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is controlled by Mr Hussain in mafia-style, with his word being the law. Detractors face the ultimate punishment – death – carried out through the private armed force maintained at his Karachi barricaded headquarters known as Nine Zero.
On Mr. Hussain’s order, his Party was involved in the 12th May 2007 carnage in Karachi where 48 people were killed and 200 sustained bullet wounds, including 10 workers belonging to my Party, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI). You can refer to your Karachi Consulate’s report on this incident. The MQM then went on to physically disrupt court hearings of this incident.
Most recently, and at a time when the MQM is a coalition partner in the federal and provincial governments, Mr. Hussain (sitting in London) sought to incite ethnic violence and vigilantism by calling on his supporters to arm themselves and fight “talibanisation†– a label he tried to put on the 2 million Pushtun workers of Karachi. As a result 36 people were killed over two days of violence. When the Sindh Inspector General of Police implicated the MQM in his inquiry, they demanded his immediate removal.
In 2007, on two occasions, the Federal Court of Canada ruled that the MQM met the legal definition of a terrorist organisation and its members could not be given political asylum. In addition, the US State Department web site describes the MQM as a “violent organisationâ€.
Considering that the British government has arrested people on mere suspicion in the Heathrow case and the recent Pakistani students’ case, it is shocking to find that no investigation has been conducted into the activities of Mr. Hussain despite his public criminal record in Pakistan. Or does the loss of Pakistani lives through acts of terrorism incited by a British national hold no relevancy for the British government?
It is this duality of standards which is losing the US and Britain the war for hearts and minds in Pakistan and thereby undermining their efforts to combat terrorism. Now that your government has identified a list of persona non grata, I sincerely hope you will hold an urgent inquiry into Mr. Hussain’s activities in
Pakistan in the light of British laws on terrorism.
Yours sincerely
Imran Khan
Chairman PTI

I endorse the above letter is based on sincerity and its now UK Govt’s responsibility to initiate an indepedent enquiry agaist Altaf Hussain – so called a democratic and secular party. Actually these are foreign funded terrorists and do not want anybody else to be stable in Karachi other than MQM. This party should be banned and Altaf Hussain’s citizenship should be ceased and should be deported to Paksitan so that an independant enquiry can be conducted against him. Now once the Juduciary is independant in Pakistan, its really a good time for UK Govt to ask Altaf Hussain to go Pakistan and face all the cases that Imran mention above in his letter.
Its a test for UK and especially for Gordon Brown to show nutrality and bring Altaf to justice.
Imran Khan to whom you addressed this Complaint Letter? These English Leaders do have at the extent of BLIND FAITH.
===â€DIVIDE & RULEâ€=== This Gordon Brown & Co. will pay attention on this complaint letter No Sir, not at all rather they will support with their/(Red White & Countries) hidden policies to such leaders of Pakistan who would participate in deadly fight with their own nation people.
Mind You IK, the history is repeated always, so this time all your efforts will go in Vain again. But its not my mean you may get dishearten, from legal point of at-least you have registered your p.o.v. lets see what’s it logical end?
I am surprise and sad to see the letter of Mr. Imran Khan, the problem of Imran is, he is biased against the Urdu Speaking peoples in Sindh and have very little knowledge of the history or intentionally ignoring the facts.
I am not great Fan of Mr. Altaf Husain but I am an Urdu Speaking professional accountant and have gone through the pain of 80′s in Hyderabad. I can not forget 30-Sep-1988 massacre, did by Jiay-sindh, in Hyderabad, when 300 people were killed just because of being Urdu speaking.

MQM is the reaction of chain of atrocities systematically did against the Urdu speaking people at that time. This was the time when there was a vacume in the politics of Sindh. There was no sympathies for Urdu speaking peoples from the other ethnicity in Pakistan. Same thing is happening in Baluchistan and NWFP.
I am not defending the cases against Mr. Altaf Husain, these may be right or may be politically motivated but my problem is, there is no option in Karachi or Sindh. You can not acquire the will of the people just by blaming the other people, you will have to engage them and live with them.
Imran Khan is again wasting his time and energy on useless things, he may take some revenge with Altaf Husain, he may be able to put him in jail, then what? Some one else will replace him. Unless he engage the people living in Sindh, his all efforts would in vain.
Hope common-sense will prevail.
Imran khan is right.Fucking bastard Iltaf Huassain son of bitch should be hanged
well brother i know at that time there was injustice with urdu speaking peoples but now the
MQM doing same what the others did with them but even today MQM cross the limits and what happend between MQM and haqiki what happend with Bhata khuri, and every things..
If Imran Khan really wants to make a difference perhaps he should try to participate in elections and actually win some votes. His war of words with MQM is serving no purpose other than making him (IK) relevant in the news cycle.
Altaf Hussain and MQM may be extremely violent but they win elections in landslide victories and have the mandate of the people of Karachi and Hyderabad. The British Government recognizes this even if Mr. Khan doesn’t.
Considering that Pakistan has turned into an agglomeration of ethnic states, with Mr. Nawaz Sharif representing the interests of the Punjabis and Mr. Hussain representing the interesting of Urdu speaking people, Mr. Khan should re-position himself as the leader of the Pashtuns. He should also stop defending the actions of the Taliban and instead speak about how economic development in North West Pakistan is the only way to eradicate radicalism. Doing so would make him a more credible leader.
Imran Khan is a fabricated person and liar and his thinking is so much ethnic he hate Mohajirs or Urdu specking and Karachi peoples but all Pakistani very well known his dual nature, his illegal(kids)of SeetaWhite, his ethnic behaviour when he was captan and his injustice was lots from Jawaid Miandade.e.g when Miadad was near a world record in Niaz stadium Hyderabad he delibrately declared innining and Javeed Miadad was depraved a new world record due to his ethnic and anti Karachi anti Mohajirs and crimnal activity.
Can he give justice of his illegal daughter?
He is a man of dispression.
His party pti is a terrorist party and his party workers killed innocant 14 mohajirs in 12 May 2007 in Karachi.
His all allegation are fake and fabricated.
God give health and long life to Mr.Altaf Hussain Bahi leader of poor and middle class peoples of Pakistan and give strength and sucesses to MQM.Ameen
