CJ Iftikhar Ch. fixes Mar 30 to hear review petitions in Sharifs case

Supreme Court on Tuesday fixed March 30 to hear review petitions filed by the government on the disqualification case of Sharif brothers.

The federal government had filed an application before the Chief Justice seeking early hearing of review petitions in disqualification case.

Sources at the SC told that a larger bench was likely to be constituted in this connection.

On the other hand, review petitions were filed with Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court against the disqualification of Sharif brothers.

Speaker Punjab Rana Iqbal filed a review petition against disqualification of PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif while proposer and seconder of Mian Nawaz Sharif filed another review petition of his behalf today.

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry issued orders to fix March 30 for hearing the review petitions.
