There is as such no native application like windows media player for Mac OS X 10.6.x ( Snow Leopard). However you can still watch Windows Media files (.wma and .wmv) other media player contents on snow leopard by installing a plugin for quicktime. This plugin is called Flip4Mac and can be downloaded free from here. Flip4Mac WMV Player is currently not fully compatible with Safari 4. It is recommend that you use FireFox or Safari 3 for playing Windows Media 9 videos on the web.
