1 22 2010 96785 l France asks Britain, Switzerland for information on Zardari PakPoint.com PARIS: A French judge probing a bomb attack that killed 11 French engineers has asked Britain and Switzerland to provide whatever information they have on allegations of Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, legal sources here said Friday.

Judge Marc Trevidic made the request to help him advance his probe into claims the 11 were killed in May 2002 by Pakistani agents taking revenge after a new French government cancelled illegal commissions on an arms deal.

Last month families of victims filed suit in Paris against supporters of former French presidential candidate Edouard Balladur, who was prime minister at the time, alleging they benefited from the deal.

In 1995, newly elected president Jacques Chirac cancelled the pay-offs, which he believed had funded his rival’s campaign, angering Pakistani officers awaiting their share of the graft, according to a report commissioned by France’s state naval construction firm and leaked last June.

The families believe they were deceived by the French state and top ranking French and Pakistani political leaders, and that their loved ones were exposed and killed as a result of a sordid political funding scandal.

One leaked French report on the affair said that the commissions paid to Pakistani figures were ordered by Zardari, the widower of the assassinated former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

In all, 14 people were killed on May 8, 2002, when a suicide bomber attacked a bus carrying French naval engineers from their Karachi hotel to where they were working on the submarines sold to Pakistan in the suspect deal.

At first, officials in both countries blamed Islamic radicals at war with the West for carrying out the attack, but French counter-terrorism officers have begun privately to accuse Pakistani spies of ordering it.

Is this Pakistan? I am ashamed to be a Pakistani today because look at the Prime Minister along with other Jiyalays how they are defending to this so called P.o.Pakistan & other beneficiaries of NRO what is this Pakistan ? This is all Pakistan sitting & listening to this man.

Sorry, I agree a lot has changed. However, if a country wants America’s help then they will ask for help. My point is, if the majority of the people don’t want American help as they were the Mastermind of NRO, then America should stay away. They don’t however & invade people’s lands, without their consent. Totally illegal. Bush, Blair & now Obama & Gordon Brown should be tried for war crimes. Oh but as their too important, I guess they can’t commit a crime, or be tried for one. Absolutely ridiculous.

Zardari the most corrupt,murderer,disputed and hated person not only in Pakistan but in the world. How shamless it is that France has asked from Britain & Switzerland about all evidences against this man to whom our Prime Minister and his corrupt and defame ministers trying to defend him.I doubt very much Zardari will not come back from Turkey to Pakistan, rather he will stay either in Dubai or in hell.

It is only those person criticise on some particulars who have some proof and evidences. I always try to do good things for others. I have analyzied myself first then i have commented on ppp and their leader, because he is not honest, he is greedy, he is selfish, he is a murderer,he is looter, he is a traitor, a big lier what else i should say for him.
