Ex-mill Atta price surges by Rs3 per kg

The ex-mill price of Atta has been increased by Rs3 per kilogram following an agreement in this regard between Singh Government and Flour Mills Association.

Spokesman of Sindh Food Department Munir Jalbani talking to Geo News on Thursday said negotiations were held between Secretary Food, Kamran Naveed and representatives of Flour Mills Association. Agreement was reached at the meeting to raise the price of Atta from Rs25 per kg to Rs28.

Earlier, the Sindh government had increased the price of wheat by Rs200 to Rs950 per maund. In order to absorb this increase, the Flour Mills Association raised the price of Atta from Rs25 to Rs30 per kg.
