Geo TV offers its Air Time To President Musharraf

RAWALPINDI: Geo News offered to air views of President Pervez Musharraf, whose coverage on the state-run media was curtailed.

The offer was made after Presidential Spokesman Maj Gen (retd) Rashid Qureshi met Information Minister Sherry Rehman and complained about the unannounced ban by the state media on the coverage of the president.

The Geo News said it was ready to convey any message of the president to the people of the country and the world.

The Geo News also showed its willingness to conduct a daily or weekly programme in accordance with the wishes of the president. The Geo News said that it believes in the free expression of opinion.

In addition GEO TV has also published an advertisement in todays news paper.
